A short reading list for a more considered financial decision.
A lower EMI can still cost more
Extending a loan can lower monthly repayments while increasing total interest. Compare the same borrowing amount, total repayment, fees, rate type and prepayment terms—not just the advertised monthly figure.
Keep near-term needs separate from long-term goals
Consider when you need access to the money, how much loss you could tolerate and what happens if plans change. A market-linked projection does not guarantee money will be available at the expected value.
Look beyond an insurance premium
Read the policy wording for exclusions, waiting periods, co-payments, limits and claim requirements. Compare cover on equivalent terms and review any existing employer or personal cover.
Make a careful digital payment
Check the recipient, amount and purpose before confirming. Never share an OTP, PIN or password with someone claiming to help. Keep receipts and use the provider’s official support route if a payment status is unclear.
